Title: "Bleached, but gleaming"
Date Finished: 12.29.2004
It can get extremely exhausting and frustrating drawing manga style all the time, so I decided to paint something else I really love: surreal landscapes.
This first started as random, mindless brush strokes, but then the structure began to present itself. It's really relaxing to do works like this, it's not overwhelmingly complex and detail-oriented, and it's something fresh and interesting.
It is best to full view this image, as you'll be able to appreciate all the subtle details and textures much more.
This was tremendously fun to paint, and I hope you enjoy it! You'll be seeing more art like this in the coming year, that's for sure ^__^

Blasted Paul, you're so talented, XD. I agree that it can be tiresome to do the same old thing all the time. I'm glad you reached out to something so different! I love this, it's so relaxing. at the same time it kinda looks like a side profile lying down... almost as if taking form slowly in that mesh of colour. Quite intriguing ^_^ You're blending and colouring skills are top of the line! !
