This is the beginning of the "Bleach Birthday CG Project" 2006! This project's purpose is to draw portraits of the characters of the manga/anime "Bleach" when their birthdays come up during the year. I had at first started this project last year in 2005, but I soon began to fall behind with it and decided to give up altogether. But this year, I'll try my best not to give this up! I truly hope you all enjoy this series! It's gonna be a long one... ;)

So here we have Yoruichi. I still think that her face looks a little too masculine, but I won't worry too much about it; she looks great! My favourite part is how her ponytail curls up like that! :D

I was not going to bother to upload this series to deviantART at all, thinking that these were not significant enough. But I changed my mind :) Please enjoy! ^__^

This image was done in openCanvas version 2.24e. Finishing was done in Photoshop 5.

Gorgeous shading on that skin... it's so soft and multi-colored, well blended. And her hair is also really pretty. I like how it curls as well. Lovely breeze. :3 Good job with those eyes, you always make them stick out so well, especially yellow eyes. Yeah, you're good with those. :D

Actually, I barely use Photoshop for anything. I mainly use openCanvas for all my colouring. And if you're interested, I could give you the links to any of the event files (a way to see a picture being drawn and coloured step-by-step) for this series. You'll need to download the oC program to view them, of course.

are you going to enter the anime north contest?
last year i entered in junior with 2 great pictures, but then a crappy pic won... i was so pissed XD

No, I'm not bothering to enter the contest. Not worth the effort IMO.

As for those event files...
Yoruichi, Jidanbou, and Rukia! I don't have Yamamoto's, but it's probably not that interesting anyways :P Enjoy!
