Dear Legend of ZeldaWhy are you associated with every good feeling in my life? I was but a wee lass of four years when I first blew into your cartridge and plugged you in, playing Link to the Past for hours on end. Being fiscally lacking, I didn't have many toys, but I can remember playing zelda and using it as a pretend world. (I somehow managed to think of link's shield as a horse. Go me.) I can remember being traumatized by my first earthquake when I was 5 or 6, and then, still horrifed, saying: "I'm too scared to sleep, can I play zelda?" Zelda at 3 am for a 5-6 year old. :> awesome.
Sadly, my brother sold his SNES and all the games. My zelda was gone.

One of the many paintings I exhibited in the Gallery Momiji Art Show at Anime North 2012 this past weekend.

It was definitely a fun experience fusing pixel art with my hard-edge painting style. The only bad thing is that when I was working on the background sections, I had no idea if they'd compliment with the mushroom, since I had newspaper masking it all off. But luckily it worked out in the end.

No, I don't think it's too much to ask at all!

I'm actually growing tired of drawing fanart all the time, so once I detox from Anime North I'll be sure to refocus my efforts on my own work. It sure has waited long enough for me though, heheh.
